The Slovaks ive encountered are very friendly but like to maintain eye contact which could be awkward at times, when offered a gift by a Slovakian, you should accept it immediately as its a strong token of friendship ( i think) Appointments and friendly dates should be arranged in advance and punctuality is vert valued. Arriving on time for business meetings and friendly dates shows seriousness and respect for your Slovak counterparts, it makes them really appreciate you more When making a toast at a Slovak dinner, clink their glass with the counterpart’s glass and look directly into their eyes. again kinda awkward at times but its normal Shoes inside one's home is a big no no, which is awesome i really think shoes inside the house is disgusting, visiting someone’s house in Slovakia, although your host will insist that you leave your shoes on, you should take them off.
